Coady Shovlain, a former President of Pi Kappa Phi at Furman University, explains how recruiting men for the chapter is a motivation to insure that they have an impactful experience in the future. 


Why Pi kapp?

Here at Pi Kappa Phi we believe, in a common loyalty, in shaping initiates into leaders on this campus and into men that will make lasting changes in our world for many years to come. Pi Kapp’s traditions can be traced back well over 100 years, initiating 115,000 men nationwide as evidence. The Delta chapter here at Furman is proud to have initiated over 1,000 of those men since our founding in 1909. Pi Kappa Phi Delta Chapter takes pride in recruiting the top candidates each spring rush terms and stands as a major force on Furman's campus with over 50 active members every semester. Most of our members are also apart of on-campus organizations, ensuring a well-rounded academic career based on honor, integrity, and character. The numerous connections you will make as a member will become an invaluable asset as you receive your diploma and head out into the real world.
